Job Description Job Description Job Title: Equipment Maintenance Technician Job Description This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the reliability and performance of manufacturing and infrastructure equipment. It is vital for the performance and growth of the company. The primary objective of the Industrial Maintenance Technician is to ensure plant equipment operates at optimal efficiency. The individual will use their troubleshooting skills and experience to address mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems. Additionally, they will contribute to the development and training of lower-level maintenance technicians, machine operators, and helpers to improve machine efficiencies. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repair of sprockets, pumps, and all related equipment including bearings, shafts, chains, conveyors, and belts. Maintain and repair Hyperbaric HPP equipment. Conduct maintenance and repair of steam, pneumatic, water, hydraulic, and other related piping equipment. Use and interpret schematics and blueprints for mechanical and electrical equipment within the facility. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and resolve identified issues. Diagnose problems and implement corrective actions with minimal supervision. Demonstrate knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and confined space entry. Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date maintenance database records. Engage in personal development and stay current on maintenance techniques. Participate in safety and housekeeping programs. Perform other duties as directed by the Plant Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, Process Engineer, and Level A Technician. Essential Skills Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair. Experience in preventive maintenance and industrial mechanical systems. Ability to work in a food or beverage regulated environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a food or beverage regulated environment is ideal. Knowledge of maintenance techniques and troubleshooting in a regulated environment. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is cold and refrigerated, maintained at 40 degrees. Shifts include Tuesday-Saturday or Wednesday-Sunday, with hours from 1:00pm-9:30pm or 9:00pm-5:30am. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
