Hoist & Winch, located in Anaheim, CA is one of the world’s leading

helicopters. Position Overview Location: Anaheim, CA The Customer
Quality Engineer will be in a multi-disciplinary team environment
and will need to be able to thrive on tackling challenges, as the
position requires problem-solving skills in a hands-on work
environment to address problems, drive, and implement appropriate
design or process changes. This is a customer focused role and
there will be customer interaction in this role to meet the needs
and expectations of the customer. Business travel of up to two
weeks per calendar year may be required. What You’ll Do -
Accountable for management of customer score cards and related
matrices. Strive to attain the most favorable quality scores by
implementing solutions to nonconformities for quality issues raised
by customers and proactively working with internal teams to perform
a read across and eliminate similar concerns. - Leads a cross
functional team including members from product quality, supply
chain quality, manufacturing engineering, operations, design, and
support to provide solutions to customer reported quality concerns.
- Develops and leads implementation of solutions to nonconformities
and to satisfy quality issues raised by customers. - Directs Escape
management procedures, root cause analysis, and develops
recommendations for corrective action for design problems for
internal products & processes. - Responsible for performing Quality
engineering review for assigned engineering change orders,
drawings, CMM, TCM, First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), and
other technical publications. - Participate in MRB activities and
provide input with respect to assigned customer quality
requirements. Manage such activities in a timely manner within ERP
system as assigned. - Responsible to initiate, communicate, and
manage NoE, deviation requests, and variance requests with assigned
customers. - Responsible for formal submittals of quality related
documents to customer(s), at times using customer portals, and
following up with disposition of such requests. - Leads customer
audits/assessments as assigned. Communicate the event agenda and
organize the support prior to the event and follow up on all the
assigned actions, observations and findings after the event.
Conduct internal quality audits as well as external partners
facility and process audits as assigned. - Responsible for
performing the job assignments within the established Quality
Management and Safety Management Systems of the organization. -
Responsible to do the right thing, always. Balance the business
needs of the organization while ensuring compliance with all stated
internal and external quality requirements. Who You Are - Excellent
communication skills (both verbal and non-verbal) must be able to
summarize complicated technical topics quickly and concisely. -
Ability to effectively lead a cross functional team to drive
quality improvement initiatives. - Ability to read electrical and
mechanical drawings and interpret dimensional and other related
requirements on the drawings. - In-depth knowledge of Quality
Management System(s) and Root Cause Analysis tools. - Degree and
minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in
a related field and minimum experience or in absence of a degree,
10 years of relevant experience - 5 years in Aerospace with solid
knowledge of Quality Assurance in production / manufacturing.
Experience of management of quality plans for NPI/NPD a plus. -
FAA, EASA and compliance with other regulatory authority knowledge
