Position Tittle: General Machinist II - Mill Working Hours: 6 AM to 2:30 PM (OT as Needed) Working Days: Monday - Friday (Saturday's as Needed) Pay Rate: $22/Hr. to $28/Hr. (DOE) Position Description: Requirements: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts Work to dimensions and tolerances provided by blueprints Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process Edit programs as needed / Write short programs as needed Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine needs for adjustments or repairs Separate scrap waste and related materials for reuse, recycling, or disposal Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required One year of machine shop experience required Completion of a technical trade school, or the equivalent of education and experience, or trade certification for general Machinist is preferred Ability to complete a technical trade school apprentice program within four years is required Ability to use measuring devices to verify that work meets blueprint specifications Basic shop math skills including knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry and their application is required Able to edit programs Able to write short programs About Kimco/MediQuest/Advantex "Kimco Staffing Services is a rapidly growing, award-winning staffing firm whose purpose is to add real value to our clients and candidates while "Changing lives, One Job at a Time".
