Apply Description MTC Medical and the Imperial Regional Detention Facility are seeking a dynamicDirector of Nursing (DON)to direct the management of nursing services and the supervision of the ancillary clinical staff in the medical unit. Just a few of the duties the DON will undertake are: Execute physician''s orders, dispensing and administering meds, assisting in the examination and treatment of patients Monitor medical unit and act as a resource for staff Assure adequate coverage on all shifts; fill in when necessary; monitor call-ins and use of OT; Assume on-call status for staff issues; assume on-call status in absence of HSA Conduct in-services, audits, chart reviews, statistical evaluations, and changes in policy/procedure Oversee sick call, medication administration and other clinical activities Our medical team a Imperial is committed to caring for our detainees. An excellent work ethic, solid clinical skills and even a sense of humor lend themselves quite nicely to this role. Education and Experience Requirements: Completion of an Accredited Registered Nursing program and a minimum of three (3) years professional nursing experience with one (1) year supervisory experience. Must be a licensed registered nurse in the state of California. Must possess current CPR certification.
