ABOUT THE POSITION
The County of Riverside - Riverside University Health System
(RUHS) - Behavioral Health is currently recruiting for a Licensed
Vocational Nurse II for their Adult Outpatient Services in Indio.
The most competitive candidates will have at least one (1) year of
experience with mental health and substance abuse.
Adult Mental Health Clinics provide services to adult
individuals suffering from severe and persistent mental health
problems. These services include crisis intervention, psychiatric
assessments, recovery management, medication services, case
management, and dual-diagnosis treatment. An Urgent Care Program
provides crisis resolution and problem solving. Peer-to-peer
recovery services are provided through the clinics and through a
contracted Peer Support and Resource Centers. Outreach to homeless
mentally ill individuals, housing assistance and intensive 24 hours
a day, seven days a week case management are also available through
the Full-Service Partnership (FSPs) Programs.
Work Schedule: 9/80 either Friday or Monday off

Licensed Vocational Nurse II
Salary Range: $17.99 - 26.08
Experience: At least one year of successful experience as an
LVN, preferably in a public health clinic environment.
Knowledge of: Current principles, techniques and procedures used
in vocational nursing within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act
for vocational nursing; medical terminology, acute care procedures
and equipment; medication administration and any policies and
procedures of the setting assigned.
Ability to: Skillfully perform the full range of vocational
nursing duties and responsibilities within the scope of the Nurse
Practice Act for vocational nursing; learn and follow policies and
procedures for the setting assigned; establish and maintain
effective working relationships with physicians, mid-level
providers, registered nurses, patients, and co-workers; complete
and maintain reports and patient records; make observations of
situations accurately and report them so effective action can be
taken according to rules of documentation and policies and
License: Possession of a valid California Vocational Nurse's
License issued by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and
Psychiatric Technician Examiners.
Certification: Possession of valid Basic Life Support (BLS)
issued by the American Heart Association for professional
