CHIROPRACTIC ASSISTANT Site Of Service 3250 Zemke Ave Bldg.
1078, MacDill AFB, FL 33621 and/or Brandon Clinic 220 Grand Regency
Blvd, Brandon, FL 33510 and/or 9210 King Palm Dr. Tampa FL 33619.
HCWs shall receive notification two weeks prior to the reassignment
to another location with a 40-mile commuting radius of their
assigned MTF. Position Qualification/Requirements Education: Attend
a formal training program as a chiropractic assistant, nursing
assistant, physical therapy assistant, operating room technician or
other similar medically related support type occupation.
Experience: One year of experience as a Chiropractic Assistant, or
similar position, after graduation. U.S. Citizenship: HCWs
performing under this contract shall be U.S. citizens. English
Language Requirement: The Contractor shall ensure that all HCWs
providing services under this contract are able to read, write, and
speak English well enough to effectively communicate. HCW Physical
Capability: HCWs shall be physically capable of standing and/or
sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of
performing all services required under the contract and TO. Duties
Prepare treatment areas for incoming patients. Instruct and
supervise patient exercise programs. Report unusual patient
treatment response or hazardous or malfunctioning equipment to the
supervisor immediately. Documents patient history, reported
subjective symptoms, care interventions provided, response to
interventions, observations, and patient education in the
electronic health record as directed by the provider and according
to established protocols. Reports any abnormalities to the provider
immediately. Administer complex, specialized supportive
physiotherapy treatments (e.g., ultrasound, electrotherapy, and
therapeutic hot/cold pack placement) and therapeutic exercise in
support of chiropractic treatments in the clinic in a safe and
medically accepted manner as directed by the supervisor.
Efficiently document patient history, reported subjective symptoms,
care interventions provided, response to interventions,
observations, and patient education in the electronic health
record. Perform administrative duties including but not limited to
scheduling, front desk reception, and managing all chiropractic
clinic related referrals. (Administrative duties/customer service
is a significant portion of the duty day) Proficiency with
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and working a computer. Hours Monday
Friday, 0700-1600 or 0730-1630 (supervisor discretion) Special
Requirements/Skills Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic
environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short
notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and
able to work with various personalities. Team work skills required.
Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a
deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of
adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced,
